2-component plastic water protection covers
We develop and produce covers to protect electrical add-on elements in the vehicle door.
In combination with our door carrier plates, the water shields provide separate protection against moisture and humidity for sensitive electronic door attachment parts such as window regulators.
The sealing is achieved by a soft component (light part of the product), a rubber-like sealing lip. This sealing lip is attached to the hard component in a 2-component injection moulding process.
The weight of the hard component can be further reduced by physical foaming without affecting the functionality of the product.
