Performance pays off at Wirthwein
Wirthwein Awards for outstanding performance in 2024 go to Brandenburg and Crimmitschau
As part of the 2025 International Management Meeting at the headquarters in Creglingen, outstanding performance was once again recognized with the Wirthwein Awards. With this award, the Executive Board and Supervisory Board emphasize that special achievements deserve special recognition.
The Crimmitschau site was honored with the “Best Performance of the Year in Harsh Environment” award. The plant specializes in the production of components and systems in the field of airflow and thermal management for the mobility market segment. The automotive industry is a challenging business area in itself, but this is particularly true at the moment, which is why the “Best Performance of the Year in Harsh Environment” award was rightly given. Plant manager Dr. Maike Gruschwitz received the “Iron (Wo)Man 2024” award.
The Brandenburg site was named “Production Champion 2024” for “Best Operational Performance.” On behalf of Klaus Kinnemann, now the longest-serving plant manager in the Wirthwein-Group, Thomas Kraus, Chief Sales Officer and Sales Director Rail Infrastructure, takes the prize to Brandenburg an der Havel. The company, which was founded in 1991 and is therefore the first Wirthwein subsidiary, specializes in the manufacture of system components for the global railway superstructure. The Rail Infrastructure market segment requires a high degree of flexibility due to its fast-moving projects, which is why the team in Brandenburg has been deservedly honored as “Production Champions 2024”.
Both awards come with a prize for a team event at the respective site.
